Going to Thailand

Here is where I lack all but one photo which is all he had in his possession here at home.

This is apparently when he got glasses since he was waving and calling out to people on the street who weren’t who he thought they were. Oops. Time to get glasses.

He mentioned going to get shots to go abroad. He had to get a LOT of them and there were young men in line getting green at the gills. Kurt just toughed up in front of them, rolled up his sleeve and got the jabs day after day.

Things he remembered to tell me about Thailand– drinking Fanta Orange, green coconuts, water buffalo, mangosteens. He inadvertently pulled a faux pas by wearing shorts during a visit from Thai Royalty to his school. His Thai brother Mali came back to the US after his brother Scott died at age 19 in November 1968  from a motorcycle accident while going to Weber State College  in Utah.
