Other things became apparent that I hadn’t noticed before. The econo-man striketh. With coupons in hand, Mr. Bulk Buy would make his sojourn to Albertson’s. I remember one episode where they ended up paying him to take boxes of cereal. Dad was ever ready to take advantage of a good deal and stock up. Toilet paper, tooth paste…a closet full of fruit juice. ~Kurt
Sue: In Fontaine house, I recall the closet between the study and Kurt’s bedroom being the place stocked with these bulk buy items. Kurt took after his Dad in this and referred to it as being “Econo-Man”. Mostly it was from BJs up here in Westminster–we had plenty of space on the attic stairs to store his purchases. He was also a great proponent of looking at Salvex* for bulk buys of items–we could redo the whole barn, honey!
