As part of the move, our car came across on a ship. The ship sunk in Saigon harbor with our car aboard. Luckily, it was on part of the ship that never went under. I knew Dad was responsible for construction of the air bases at Udorn and Karat. I wasn’t aware of any responsibility for ports, but I guess that makes sense.
