We don’t have many pictures from 2021 because Kurt passed to the other side of life on March 13th, having been hospitalized since March 2.
However, I did catch him with my iPad, scraping the snowfall off his Acura getting ready to head to work, as an employee of Systolic down in Annapolis Junction vicinity. I sent Niels out to help him because he was having shortness of breath problems exacerbated by the cold weather. Note the long hair under the trademark hats he liked to wear. I started pulling his hair into a ponytail for him. He was an “essential worker” expected to show up and protocols demanded that he mask and work a different shift. So he opted for the 2pm to 10 pm shift. He was a perpetual night owl, so getting up at 4 a.m. daily was not relished.
