Evidence of Fate-New Years Eve 1985

I had met Kurt through Mark Sutton when we all went out to the vegetarian restaurant Kalachanji’s. He was driving and his new car broke down enroute: “Your oil pressure is low. Prompt service is required!” said the voice. Friend Carl Weddle rescued the 4 of us in his little Japanese-made truck and I had to sit on Kurt’s lap–first time I had met him, mind you. He seemed to really enjoy that. At Kalachanji’s  there was major flirting happening. The Weddles were mutual friends from Texas Instruments. They engineered another meeting by throwing a  New Year’s Eve Party involving muchos drinking from the looks of things. Kurt brought his gorilla costume and decided that I was a good sport,  unlike his ex. That evening he told me he wanted to see me again–A LOT.
